I am beginning to hate christmas

No seriously, I am. Christmas just doesn't feel like christmas anymore. In my opinion, it's become such a corporate holiday. We now care more about what and how much we're going to get, instead of what we want to give. We care more about who can out-decorate who and who has more christmas spirit. It's become a contest of who's the better celebrater of christmas.



Christmas isn't a family thing for me anymore. It's just a job now, something that we have to do, not want to do. Has anyone in my family helped me carry a fiber glass and metal tree up the two flights of stairs leading to the front door? Has anyone in my family helped me deocorate the tree? No. I will admit though, that I'm not the only one who decorates.

It's just then when I ask people here to help me get the tree up the stairs (with this thing it's a two person job) and help me decorate it (no fun decorating a tree by yourself) they would much rather watch TV. Yet when they ask me for help and I say that I don't really want to because when I asked for help last time, no one gave it to me,it turns out I'm selfish one.

Fuck it,maybe I am selfish. but this is honestly how I feel.

I am just so sick and tired of people expecting me to help them, but when I ask for help, I get nothing in return. And when I express this anger, I'm called selfish and spoiled and blah blah blah. And by people, I'm only talking about a certain few. Not everyone I know is like that. Thank god for that.


Ugh.
